Most of these places are walking distance from Denny’s. However, we took the liberty to add sightseeing places that may require you to use a vehicle. Each listing will give you a walking or driving map so you know exactly where those places are in connection with the apartment where you are staying. Expats and North American visitors seem to like the “Dos Gringos” in downtown. The bar is owned by two Canadians, who bring a American atmosphere in a tropical setting.
3. The Discos
The Discos in Las Terrenas are a perfect option for those looking for a wild and unforgettable night. The discos provide an extraordinary experience with high-energy music, flashing lights, and hundreds of people dancing until the early morning hours. One of the hottest discos in town is El Mosquito, which is exactly located in the same block as Denny’s apartment, one minute walk. El Mosquito hosts a lineup of famous DJs and a large dance floor to explore your moves. You can also try the ETNO, just about 5 minute walk from Denny’s, which is equally popular among locals and visitors.

The Samana Peninsula where Las Terrenas is located, is a paradise settled amidst the pristine beauty of the Dominican Republic. Samana Peninsula plays home to humpback whales during their birthing season between December and March every year. Thousands of whales migrate from the North Atlantic region to the warm Caribbean waters during this season, making it one of the most spectacular earthly events you can witness.
Los Haitises national park is home to the most popular kayaking site in the world. This wildlife reserve is full of flora and fauna, housing hundreds of birds, sea turtles, and manatees, and a vast lineup of camping locations for the adventurous souls. You can explore the mangroves, the Taino cave paintings, and end your kayaking with a swim in the open sea.
