Dear friend:

It is my pleasure to welcome you. I am happy that you are here to enjoy what Las Terrenas has to offer.

The apartment where you are in is part of a private residence complex where people live all-year long As such, owners, residents and their guest have to abide by a set of rules to make the area safe and enjoyable for all of us. Please help us make this place nice by following these basic rules:

1- Number of guests allowed:

The occupancy rate of each apartment must be respected. Guests who confirmed a number of persons coming to the apartment must abide by that agreed upon number. Please note that the reception and security are tasked to enforce the number of people allowed inside an apartment. If you plan to bring more guests than what you booked, please check with me so we agree on a final number.

2- Guests of guest:

Just as rule number 1 above, guests are not allowed to invite other people to stay. There are capacity, safety and security issues that arise from uncontrolled movement of people, so please do not invite people to stay

3- Use of electricity:

Most lodging establishments in the region charge an electricity use fee. We will charge a fee equal to guests consumption for stays of more then three nights. Guests who stay more than 3 nights will have access to electrical meter and will have a photo to show meter reading at start, and then another meter reading at checkout. The fee will be calculated based on the KwH consumed at the rate of the local electricity company.   CURRENT ELECTRICITY RATE IN LAS TERRENAS IS: 14.95 Dominican Pesos per KWH.  If you stay up to three nights, we will not charge you for electricity use, however, please make sure to shut down any electrical appliance when you are out of the apartment, in particular the conditioners and fans.

4- Parking:

Each apartment has one parking only. If you are renting either C1 or C2, the parking spots are marked 1C1 and 1C2. The parking spots are located across from the apartments’ balcony, slightly to the right.  If you park elsewhere, the condominium manager can order the car to be removed at the owner’s expanse. During low season, other owners would allow neighbors to use their parking, if this is the case for you, please check with me first. Please note that a quad is considered a full vehicle.

If you exit the parking with your car at night, please use the parking gate remote control. It is located inside the apartment, hanging above where the black water cooler is located. Please understand that losing the gate is subject to a US$ 100 loss fee.

5- Trash:

Each apartment has trash bins in the kitchen and bathroom. Please empty them on the daily basis to avoid smell and to avoid attracting bugs. There is a big bin in ground-floor’s hallway. Each day, maintenance removes the trash from there, that’s the best place to empty your trash.

6- Hanging cloths and towels in balcony:

Hanging cloths and towels in balconies is not allowed. Instead, we offer a hanging clothes rack that is below eye level in the balcony. Using them will prevent your towels and cloths from being seen.

7- Noise:

Noise is not tolerated. People live in Caribey and many guests are children and the elderly.

8- Smoking:

Smoking inside the apartment is not allowed. Please do so at the balcony.
